Purdue University Bowen Laboratory for Large Scale Civil Engineering Research West Lafayette, Indiana This state-of-the art laboratory and conference facility covers more than 70,000 sf across 3 stories.

The strong floor and strong wall can accommodate test specimens up to 120’ in length, as well a the construction of full scale building frames and structural elements up to 4 stories in height. Placement of or construction of specimens is aided by two 30-metric ton overhead cranes. Data management capabilities within the building include multiple fiber optic points and full wi-fi. Conference spaces can accommodate research presentations and group meetings of up to 100 persons. Design and built by Force, the facility was the result of worldwide benchmarking of government and university test facilities, resulting in the most capable large-scale test facility in a university setting in the United States.
